Printing Images

To print an image, click on the print icon on the toolbar or choose Print from the File menu.  You can also click on the Print tab in the Wizard Panel.

You’ll be prompted to select either an image or an album to publish. Select the corresponding button, and then pick your image or album from the drop-down list.

To print a single image, select Photo and click Next.

In the Select Layout screen, FotoFinish provides a number of easy-to-use templates for printing, and it displays a preview showing how your photos will look in the selected layout.

You can print your image Full Page or select a more advanced Page Layout, where you can choose from Standard Sizes, Simple Layouts, and Design Layouts.  (You can also create your own Design Layouts if you have the FotoFinish Suite Edition.)

Select a layout for your printed photos

Standard Sizes allow you to print images at standard print sizes such as 2”x3”, 4”x6”, 5”x7”, and 8”x10”.

Simple Layouts allow you to select between ready-made layouts, many of which can print multiple images from your album on one page.

When using these multi-image layouts, you can opt to have the same image repeated multiple times per page by checking the box marked Same Photo Per Page.

Design Layouts contain special-occasion themes that can be used for birthdays, graduations, and other celebrations.

Suite Feature: Create Your Own Design Layouts: If you own the FotoFinish Suite Edition, you can customize any of the built-in layouts, and you can also design your own layouts and save them for future use. This is perfect for creating flyers, brochures, and business templates containing photos.

Printing the Image Names and Annotations

While you’re selecting a printing layout, you can also choose to print the image name, description, and a footer that includes the page number and date of your photo. Simply check the boxes next to the options you want.

Next, in the Select Output Settings dialog, you can select the printer, the page range, and the number of copies to print. These functions are common to most windows programs.  After making your selections, click Print.
